20 year anniversary for leading water recycling company
Aquabio Ltd, one of the UK’s leading water re-use companies, is celebrating 20 years in the industry. The company was originally set up as a private business in 1997 with a strong ethos for innovation and environmental sustainability. This has led to the company developing some of the world’s most advanced systems for the treatment and re-use of industrial wastewater – particularly in the fields of membrane bioreactors, reverse osmosis and anaerobic digestion – at its customers’ facilities. During its 20 year history, its developing technology has led to significant reductions in energy requirements for wastewater treatment and re-use.
Since its launch, Aquabio has notched up some impressive statistics, including the re-use of 16 billion litres of water across all its plants; that amounts to 6400 Olympic sized swimming pools or three years’ worth of water consumption for the entire city of Worcester.
Steve Goodwin, Managing Director of Aquabio Ltd, said: “We are delighted to have reached such an important milestone in our business. Our 20 successful years are testimony to the hard work, commitment, dedication and professionalism of our employees as well as the innovative approach we have developed in our industry. We will all be celebrating in style and look forward to the next 20 years!”
Aquabio – which operates from its headquarters in Hallow, Worcestershire – is a European Leader in industrial wastewater treatment, and water recycling and reuse. The company has pioneered the implementation of water recycling within a wide range of industries including food and drink, bio fuels, pulp and paper, landfill and leachate and pharmaceuticals.
Aquabio is now part of the Freudenberg Group, a global company which operates in 60 countries worldwide.
