Accenture on the lookout for start-ups with Fintech Innovation Lab
The application process is now underway for Accenture’s Fintech Innovation Lab, which invites start-ups in the fintech space to participate in this mentoring and collaboration accelerator.
Fintech continues to be an emerging field, with the potential to disrupt traditional financial services. The latest application round expires on the 31st October, and Accenture are looking to increase the number of applications from the 42 that applied last year, six of which were taken forward on the programme.
Entrepreneurs and start-ups that are “willing to learn” make the ideal candidates for the programme, which is not purely focused on sales and growth, and more on mentoring for long-term strategy.
The selection committee are said to be especially interested in products, tools and applications that:
- Support real-time manipulation of large volumes of complex transactional data
- Identify and address security concerns related to mobile or wireless device use
- Monitor risk in real time to support regulatory compliance and rapid response to threat
- Enable secure database outsourcing to cloud environments
- Facilitate efficient API management
- Analyse social media to support customer relationship management and regulatory compliance
Start-up firms engaged in areas of fintech such as big data analytics, payments, risk management, customer relationship, management governance, security, and social media and collaboration.
Alastair Blair, MD for Accenture in Ireland, says: “The Fintech Innovation Lab offers an exciting opportunity for the technology and financial services communities and young Irish companies to collaborate and together contribute to the success of Ireland’s digital economy.”
