Aldi creates 20 jobs at new Sallynoggin store
Supermarket chain, Aldi is to create 20 new jobs with the opening of its largest store in Sallynoggin in Co Dublin. This brings the total number of Aldi stores in Ireland to 124.
The supermarket chain currently employs more than 3,000 people in the Republic of Ireland.
The new Sallynoggin store is Aldi’s 18th in Dublin.
Speaking at the store opening, store manager Josef Skala said: “We are delighted to open our new Sallynoggin store and look forward to welcoming many new customers from the local area.
“Each Aldi store we have opened so far has been a huge success.
“We are pleased to make the quality, value and variety of our grocery range available to more people throughout South Co Dublin.”
Aldi is a leading global discount supermarket chain with almost 10,000 stores in 18 countries, and an estimated turnover of more than €50bn. Based in Germany, the chain was founded by brothers Karl and Theo Albrecht in 1946.
