Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Seeks Views on Future of Ballyogan, Stepaside, Carrickmines and Leopardstown
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has commenced a 6 week pre-draft public consultation process on a new Local Area Plan (LAP) for Ballyogan and Environs. Following this consultation period, a draft LAP will be produced to help frame development in the area over the coming 6 years. The areas covered will include Ballyogan, Kilgobbin, The Gallops/Glencairn (Leopardstown) and parts of Carrickmines and Stepaside.
This part of the county, located between the M50 and the Dublin Mountains, has seen significant population increases in recent years, and with undeveloped zoned lands within its boundaries, is likely to see more development in the years to come. The LAP that is to be drafted following this public consultation will guide this development.
The consultation process includes an Issues Paper, an Online Survey, an interactive suite of online maps (Story Map) and Public Information Meetings. Details on all these aspects of the process can be found here.
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council welcomes engagement in this process. This consultation period ends on Thursday 24th May 2018.
