EHL Ingredients increases manufacturing capacity by 50%
EHL Ingredients, a leading importer, blender and packer of food ingredients from around the world, has acquired a new manufacturing site at the Broadstone Industrial Estate in Stockport giving them 8000 sq. ft. of extra space to further expand the family business which has been operating for over 20 years.
The acquisition is an exciting prospect for EHL as they continue to source new ingredients and develop their extensive product range. It is anticipated that the new site will help increase manufacturing capacity by up to 50% and will also create several new job opportunities for the local area.
This is the third unit the company has acquired on the Industrial Estate and the increase in space and workforce will also enable EHL to make improvements to its packaging and increase its stockholding capacity, as well as being able to supply products ‘off the shelf’ and shorten lead times.
Tasneem Backhouse and Naseem Haq, joint managing directors at EHL Ingredients, says: “We’re very excited about this new building and what it will mean for the future of EHL. Not only will it enable us to increase our manufacturing capacity, which will give us a boost in sales, but it will also ensure we can provide our current customers with a better service and keep pace with customer demands.
“We’re also looking forward to expanding the EHL team, and will be running a major recruitment drive in the coming months.”
