Electric Ireland Signs €60 Million Supply Contract
Electric Ireland has announced a new contract with the Office of Government Procurement worth over €60 million to supply electricity to Government bodies and security services across Ireland over the next three years. The agreement will see Electric Ireland deliver an estimated 177,000 MWh of electricity, the equivalent to powering over 42,000 households.
The contract is to supply electricity to all Government Departments, Leinster House, An Garda Síochána sites, The Irish Defence Forces bases, Ireland’s Prison Services and the Coast Guard operations. The energy supplied meets the Government’s green energy requirements through to 2022.

The contract awarded is for a three-year period and commences on 1 November 2019.
