Final Call for Entries to Sustainable Energy Awards 2016
The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) today issued a final call to urge organisations, businesses or communities who have achieved energy savings through efficiency or renewable energy to enter the Sustainable Energy Awards before the closing date on Friday 20th May.
The Awards, sponsored by Enprova, are open to large and small projects from the island of Ireland. Innovative projects with high replication potential are invited in nine categories including: large and small business, community, public sector, innovation, research, leadership, buildings and design.
Further information on the 2016 Sustainable Energy Awards can be found on SEAI’s website www.seai.ie/energyawards. Overall winners will be announced at a gala event in Dublin in November 2016.
Some of last year’s winners included: EPS Group, having co-ordinated several community outreach projects around the country; OpenHydro, for its development of an open centre tidal turbine; Foxrock Golf Club for implementing an energy plan; Údarás na Gaeltachta, for developing a community based partnership with the goal of developing Erris, Belmullet, Co. Mayo into a Sustainable Energy Community; and AbbVie Ireland, for its Energy Management Program “Reduce Carbon Footprint”.
