LUNOS goes Nexxt Generation
Passive building supply specialist Partel is to launch the new Lunos Nexxt semi-centralised heat recovery ventilation system to the UK and Irish market.
Nexxt is a decentralized heat recovery system that combines the benefits of ductless decentralized and centralized control systems. It enables control of ventilation in several rooms via just one unit, and is also the most silent unit of its kind, according to Lunos.
Nexxt achieves heat recovery efficiency of up to 90%, and heat transfer is made via a cross-flow heat exchanger or optionally via a cross-counterflow heat exchanger. Power input commences at five watts and volume flows of over 90 metres cubed per hour can be generated.
Nexxt is rounded off by a completely new operating concept. Piezo elements are located behind an elegant metal facing which ensures that clear but silent feedback is provided on actuation by means of vibration and sound.
Nexxt is controlled via humidity or temperature sensors as a standard, and optionally also via a CO2 sensor. It is installed directly into the outside wall — a surface and flush version are available. The well-proven 160’ tube is used for connection to the outside, meaning just one penetration of the airtight layer is needed.
Nexxt is one of many new developments being released in 2016 including optional humidity control or integrated timers for all fans via the well known 5 uni controller. LUNOS will also release a new range of EC fans such as the RA 15-60 Below and improved Silvento fans capable of unprecedented constant pressures while maintaining incredibly low sound levels.
