PPMA Show 2014 – The Complete Production Line Event
The PPMA show, the UK’s premier free-to-attend complete production line event for processing and packaging machinery, is set to return in 2014 to showcase the latest innovations and developments across the UK’s manufacturing industries.
Now in its 27th year, the PPMA show has been recognised as the only UK event that attracts hundreds of machinery manufacturers and component suppliers across a wide range of industries including food, drink, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, dairy, snacks, construction and electronics. Run over three days (30th Sept – 2nd Oct 2014) at the NEC,Birmingham, this year will see the event return to the sole ownership and management of the PPMA group of trade associations.
Planning for this year’s event is well underway with over 80 percent of floor space already sold months in advance. Several high-profile seminar speakers have already been announced, including former cabinet minister, politician and journalist Michael Portillo providing the opening address, while Christine Tacon, the Government’s first appointed supermarket ombudsman who will deliver a combative talk on the UK’s leading supermarkets. Meanwhile satirist Rory Bremner will be on hand to present the PPMA Group Industry Awards on the first night of the show.
Grant Collier, head of marketing for the PPMA Group, says: “We’re delighted to announce the launch of the PPMA Show 2014. The event offers a great opportunity for companies looking to meet with key decision makers from manufacturing companies both in the UK and overseas. We’ve already lined up some very high-profile seminar speakers and look forward to revealing the full line up for this year’s show in the weeks to come. We can’t wait to return to the NEC and welcome our members and non-members to join us and discover the latest industry trends all under one roof.”
Richard Little, Chairman for the PPMA Group, adds: “For over 25 years the PPMA show has brought together buyers and sellers at one of the most visually dynamic exhibitions of the very latest processing and packaging innovations. My company, Jenton International, has exhibited and substantially benefited from every PPMA show since its inception in 1988, so I’m talking from experience when I say it’s a great forum in which to meet the industry, see both existing and new customers, develop relationships and carry out business. I very much look forward to welcoming visitors to the PPMA Show 2014.”
