WeWork Announces First Location in Ireland
Global space, community, and services company WeWork has announced its first location in Ireland. WeWork is leasing space in Dublin’s Iveagh Court, situated near Iveagh Gardens in the city centre, surrounded by local services, shops, and transport.
WeWork’s Iveagh Court location is the 40th WeWork to be announced in Europe, where the company already has 23 open locations, which are home to 25,000 members. With over 170 physical locations across 18 countries and 56 cities around the world, WeWork provides over 150,000 global members with the community and services to create their life’s work through both physical and digital offerings.
The deal acknowledges Dublin’s reputation as a centre for innovation, media, business and technology, with 1200 start-ups, 250 global tech companies and €888 million raised in the city last year.
WeWork has expanded rapidly across Europe in recent years, launching first in the UK, Germany and the Netherlands, and adding locations in France and Spain to its portfolio this year. The company recently announced that, in 2019, it will open WeWork Waterloo, in central London, which will be the world’s largest collaborative workspace.
Eugen Miropolski, Managing Director of WeWork, Europe and Israel, comments: “Dublin’s tech credentials and community of start-ups and established companies make it an obvious choice for our next WeWork location, and we’re looking forward to growing our community here in Ireland. Beyond best-in-class buildings, staffed by local teams providing support, networking opportunities and events, we know our members value access to wider networking and business opportunities, as well as excellent locations and transport connections.”
