‘World of Talent in Ireland’ campaign launched by IDA and American Chamber
A major new campaign ‘World of Talent in Ireland’ was today launched by the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland and IDA Ireland. The campaign will initially target Ireland’s global graduate community, highlighting abroad the career opportunities that now exist in Ireland, with a view to attracting talent here.
Speaking on the launch of the campaign Mark Redmond, Chief Executive of the American Chamber said “For Ireland to continue to grow its economy it will be essential that we attract the best and the brightest talent from across the world. This campaign is about reaching out to anyone who attended college here and therefore has an affinity with Ireland but is currently living and working elsewhere. We want to ensure that they know the great career opportunities that now exist here and how they can avail of them”
Martin Shanahan, CEO at IDA Ireland said: “When we meet with clients and ask them about their priorities when developing their businesses in Ireland, talent is always at the top of the list. No business can succeed without good talent, and this initiative will make our diaspora aware of the many fantastic opportunities that exist within companies located in Ireland.”
The campaign is supported by Higher Education Institutes and Chamber members in the US FDI sector across Ireland and includes a one-stop-shop online resource – worldoftalentinireland.com which will have valuable information for those considering moving to Ireland as well as testimonials from those who already have. These stories include senior figures from US companies in Ireland who have found that there is a world of talent in Ireland, and highlight the opportunities that exist to become a part of that world. While the American Chamber’s jobs board currently has details of approximately 2,000 career opportunities available with US employers in Ireland.
